Garden Progress!

It’s been a great spring/early summer in my garden. I’ve got at least a dozen tomatoes on a pair of vines so far, and a ton more flowers on the vines. The rain’s been frequent enough that I haven’t had to spend a ton of time out with the watering can, which is to my liking. How’s your garden doing so far? Got anything to share?

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.

  1. The six vines going on my 7th story balcony are producing like champs. And the bean pole is going astronomically. Since it’s all in pots, I do have to put a bit of water down each day to keep teh stuff in full growth. That heat wave caused some of the stuff to bolt early, but it’s all better now.

  2. I just discovered the first tomato flower this morning. We planted our beefsteaks the weekend after Mother’s Day. I only fertilized it once though, about two weeks ago.
