“The WTT Pro League enters its 33rd season of play in 2008. Billie Jean King and Larry King created the unique gender-equity team concept in the early 1970s. The WTT Pro League first hit the courts in 1974 for a five-year run. After a short hiatus, the League returned in 1981 and has been a highlight of the annual U.S. tennis calendar for the past 28 consecutive years.”

this will be just like the mystics. the business model doesnt make sense. the vast majority of ticket holders will be free tickets. this will not survive.

Great photos, Max! I know the Kastles are new and looking for publicity, so are probably generous with their photo passes, but I’m hopeful that we can get similar access to other major league events in DC.

Serena Williams plays for the Kastles, not Venus. Venuw Williams plays for the Philadelphia Freedoms.
