United express took over the A gates (from Independence Air, who they shoved out of business) last year. The A gates are connected to the B terminal by a walkway. Those gates were retrofitted by Independence Air, and the only thing United did was to change the name on the walls. Good point. (I think it was B.) The return flight came into C. I think it just depends on your flight. I would imagine most longer flights that require bigger aircraft would go from the older terminals. I usually try to fly out of National now instead.
