“Hella Cost”

Graffiti on African Relief Ad

Judging by the graffiti on this Metro train ad for Global Impact, there’s an Orange Line rider somewhere out there who (1) hates African aid groups because of secret genocide conspiracies, (2) has a Sharpie, and (3) is unsure of the spelling of “holocaust.”

Roving Asian mendicant, can occasionally be seen wandering the streets of downtown Washington, muttering unintelligible gibberish to passers-by while pushing a “bag lady” shopping cart full of old blankets, American flags, soda cans, and healthy secondhand snacks from organic food shop dumpsters. Used to live in a cardboard box at 16th and K but the rent was too expensive.

  1. Maybe the person was concerned with the amount of money that it cost to produce the advertisement?

    I could be wrong, however.
