City Gem: Landmark Theaters

Looking for a warm way to spend this weekend? Both the Bethesda and E street Landmark Theaters are amazing. These two local movie theaters have all the hot indie films on show. In my regular zip code search, E Street is the only theater with a reliable showing of straight red tomatoes on rottentomatoes.com, my go-to source for movie reviews. And the ability to bring alcohol into the theater along with your popcorn makes these two places movie heaven.

Landmark Bethesda is playing Slumdog Millionare, which I’ve heard is this holiday season’s must-see movie.

Off to the movies…

  1. I know, I didn’t mean for it to be an exact illustration of Landmark theaters. I just love this photo, especially since it’s very noir and abstract. I wanted it to be more about a cold night out at the theater. But, for everyone who wanted to know where that photo was taken, now you do!

  2. i just found this theater and i have been a long time bethesda resident. i saw slumdog millionaire there. the movie has gotten a lot of buzz. i have read the book on which the movie is based. the movie is better than the book (not often that i can say that). the movie is worth a view. lots of places to drink/eat before/after the movie.
