If you're gonna consider going to B'more I suggest instead the 25th annual parade of lights in Annapolis, sponsored by the Eastport Yacht Club.

The Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade is the The Parade of Lighted Boats which actually begins in the Washington Channel on the Southwest DC waterfront where festivities start at 4 pm on the 800 block of Waterstreet, SW, with the boats launching at 5 pm. After passing the judges' tower, the boats head on to Alexandria.
