Ray’s the Interview

Reader Brian commented over on our rays-has-moved post with a link to something he wrote today about the Ray’s move, including a short interview with Ray’s owner Michael Landrum but it demands more prominent attention than that. Take a look; it had a tidbit that I, at least, was not aware of regarding what’s happening to the old space.

Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.

Hmm, guess I just did.

My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.

  1. Ray’s the Catch.

It was originally named “Rays the Net”, but the name appears to have changed in the past month or two. It’s been an open rumor since September 2008, and if you caught the owner he would tell you about the plans. The dates were more vague – apparently they had problems getting the new space opened, so everything was pushed off. I’ll believe the “it will open the end of February” when I see it, but you never know!

    Can’t wait to try it.
