DCDPW was out on Twitter this morning to remind you: Leaf Collection Season is here!. You can check the status of your neighborhood to see if you’ve missed the first pass yet. There’s also a handy PDF of what you need to do to get your leaves ready for collection.

DPW handles annually 8,000-10,000 tons of leaves November through January, which is a mind-bogglingly huge number. They turn much of it into mulched compost that you can request from them from March through October, or pick up from any of the waste stations in the District.

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.
