Early Wednesday morning around 2:30am, a man was hit and killed on the Suitland Pkwy by two Secret Service vehicles in transit from Andrew’s Air Force base to their holding location in DC. The accident occurred just over the DC border in PG County. No word right now on what really caused the accident, but an investigation is underway.

These are limos that are apparently used for the VP at times, but nobody was in them when the hit occurred (except, I hope, a driver). The unfortunate victim has been identified as Larry Moore of Temple Hills, according to WaPo. It’s not clear if he was actually struck by both vehicles or just one, but both of these are armor-plated and must weigh several tons. A freak accident for sure, but we will see what the toxicology reports say to see if drugs or alcohol were at play for either the victim or the drivers.

Karl’s life is kind of like going to a Nats’ game while eating Ethiopian food and discussing the latest legislation to pass the House. Then cramming on the Metro for a ride home. That ’bout sums it up. See why Karl loves DC or check him out on Twitter.
