As part of a major regional fundraising campaign to benefit Goodwill, any customer who buys a $1 Frosty-shaped key tag from now until February 28th, at participating DC area Wendy’s, will get a free Frosty with any 2010 Wendy’s purchase.

Could this deal get any sweeter? Goodwill of Greater Washington gets a donation, Wendy’s and DavCo Restaurants give back to the community in which their employees live and work, and customers help fund the charitable agency’s job training programs and get Frosties.

If you want to donate, but could do without the Frosties, Goodwill retail stores will be selling the key tags and benefiting from the proceeds.

  1. how do we find out “participating DC area wendy’s”
also, how do we redeem the free frosty? do we get a coupon, or is it a flash-the-keychain and get a free frosty for the whole year?

  2. Nicole: The Goodwill’s December newsletter (http://www.dcgoodwill.org/GoodNews/GoodNewsDEC2009.html#around) more details on the promotion and states that DavCo Restaurants, Inc. owns and operates 154 Wendy’s Restaurants in the Washington, D.C., northern Virginia, and Maryland areas. However, it doesn’t list the participating restaurants. Before you hit up the Wendy’s try calling the location (I’ve just put the link in the post) and asking if they’re participating.

In terms of redemption, I’m assuming the key tag would serve as proof of purchase for your years worth of Frosties. Perhaps it even has a code printed on it.

I’m planning on getting my Wendy’s on tonight, so I’ll have more details then.
