Ice Cream gluttony for a good cause

I don’t mean your own at the B&J ice cream happy hours, I mean Paul of local music duo Paul & Storm eating an entire Fudgy the Whale tonight. What started out as a stunt to get more twitter followers has turned into An Event as well as a drive to raise money for the Arlington Food Assistance Center.

And just because community service can have a personal payoff as well, local business ThinkGeek is raffling two $100 gift certificates off to everyone who contributes via the link on this page. Each $1 gets you 1 chance to win. Like a lotto scratch-off card, but with less rubbing.

Wait, that sounded dirty.

Watch the debacle live at 8pm tonight if you dare.

Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.

Hmm, guess I just did.

My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.
