Acadiana welcomes your pooch to the patio. Who doesn’t?

Honestly if this was any other restaurant I’d let this pass on by, but I will forever have a place in my heart for Acadiana and their delicious gumbo.

Acadiana welcomes four-legged visitors to the Patio for Sunday Brunch!

Every Sunday, 11am – 2:30pm: New Orleans Style Brunch, $29

Pooches can pick a treat from the “Dog Day” Menu, made especially by our chefs.

The doggie treat is nice, but it makes me wonder – where can’t you bring your pooch to the outdoor dining area? I feel like I see DC residents and their dogs at pretty much every patio. Is it just that I don’t notice when they’re not there and more restaurants than not forbid them? Being sadly pooch-free myself it’s not something that impacts me directly.

Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.

Hmm, guess I just did.

My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.
