I personally would rather stab myself in the face repeatedly than go to this, but perhaps you feel differently about Mr Hitchens than I do.

Christopher Hitchens is going to pass through town in June to promote his new autobiography and will be speaking at the 6th & I synagogue. It’s sponsored by the Center for Inquiry and if you’re a member – sorry, ‘friend’ – admission is free. Everyone else pays $10 or $30 if you want a copy of Hitch-22 for the man himself to autograph.

Thanks to the Friendly Athiest, whose tweet led me to this item. If you’re interested you should register soon, I have never been able to get day-of tickets to these kinds of events in that venue.

Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.

Hmm, guess I just did.

My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.
