There’s a big sign on New York Avenue at the 3rd Street Tunnel. It reads, if memory serves, “Trucks over 13 feet must use 4th Street” instead of the tunnel. Today, a driver ignored that sign and crashed into the southbound entrance into the tunnel and caused a bit of damage. Southbound entry to 395 is being redirected to the Mass Ave entrance for the time being, while engineers figure out how bad the damage is, and clean up the rubble.

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.
