Rachel: If you haven’t caught on by now, my weekends usually consist of one of two things (or both) — baseball and music. This weekend is no different. Friday and Saturday will be spent at good old Nationals Park to watch the Nats take on the worst team in the MLB this season aka the Baltimore Orioles. Then, before softball with the Near Misses in Glover Park on Sunday, there will be some good old music making in my apartment. I can only hope my neighbors like the Blues. Keep those fingers crossed for me.

Tiff: Saturday, it’s all about the Fiesta Asia Street Fair, especially the flash mob, but I may squeeze in a trip to the farm for more strawberries first. Sunday I’m probably going to be roaming around looking for jewelry to go with my costume for my dance studio’s upcoming recital. I’m thinking India Art & Craft and Eastern Market will be my first stops, but I’d love to hear your suggestions.

Rebecca: As it’s been a fairly dreary, rainy week, I think Friday post-work drinks on the Georgetown Waterfront are in order. Afterwards I’ll be checking out Il Canale, the somewhat recently opened, Georgetown Italian restaurant. Saturday, I’ve got an early morning soccer game on my plate, and after I’ve recovered from that, I’ll be meeting up with some friends at the Bullpen and then hitting the Nats v. Orioles game at National Stadium. There’s no better way to spend a lovely Saturday then by watching two local teams go head-to-head.  I love me some Natstown. Sunday I’ll check out the latest Textile Museum exhibit, Art By The Yard: Women Design Mid-Century Britain, which follows three pivotal women designers, Lucienne Day, Jacqueline Groag and Marian Mahler and how they transformed textile design after World War by II. A stroll around the Dupont neighborhood, and grabbing a coffee at Dolcezza (1704 Connecticut Avenue) and I think my weekend is done. As it’s been a fairly dreary, rainy week, I think Friday post-work drinks on the Georgetown Waterfront are in order. Samantha: Saturday I will be working in Georgetown till about 5 and then I will be heading over to a huge BBQ that will be catered by Red, Hot, and Blue (mmmm, BBQ).  After the festivities are over, rain or shine, I wouldn’t be suprised if I landed somewhere on 14th Street – perhaps Bar Pilar?  On Sunday I will be going to the Lucketts Fair, and hopefully I will be able to squeeze in time to do some gardening (i.e. re-planting the only pot on my meager DC balcony).

Kirkles: This weekend will be one of usual haunts for me.  I’ll spend Friday evening at the Saloon, hopefully introducing some recently arrived friends to the place.  On Saturday, I’m going to have Market Brunch and then head over to Maine Ave Fish Pier to buy some oysters which I’ll eat on my porch later in the afternoon. On Sunday, I’m thinking I’ll roll up to the National Cathedral for the free organ recital that they’re having in the evening.

Dave: Nothing overly exciting from me relating to the District – after a Friday evening softball game against our collegiate rival (some Catholic school out in the middle of northern Indiana), I’ll be jetting out of town to celebrate my parents’ anniversary back in Boston. This is We Love DC, so you probably don’t care terribly much, but as I still love Boston and weekends, you can find me on Sunday down grabbing brunch down by the harbor at Sel de la Terre before stopping by my Alma Mater to get all nostalgic.

Paulo: This weekend I’m sitting on the sidelines of Baptist church council planning meeting! I know, right? You jealous yet? The interesting part is that this meeting of Baptists happens at a
Methodist Venue: Mount Vernon Place UMC right by the Convention Center. The church itself has been there since 1850 and has been through really interesting times in the city’s history, so I should bring a camera along and see what I can see.

Tom: Saturday morning, I’m headed out to the farm to get another batch of berries.  This batch I’m not quite sure what to do with, but with the weather supposed to be so nice, it seemed like a nice fit.  Up early, out to pick, and then back to town for the afternoon.  The Nationals are at home this weekend against the Orioles, which means Nats park will be rollicking with baseball intensity as, hopefully, the Nats club the Birds like so many harbor seals.  Also, in preparation for the arrival of poker games at the casinos of West Virginia, I have invites to a pair of home poker games, which may attract me.  The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, though, so I may hit Garden District to redeem my Living Social deal that got me $30 for $15 to pick up some containers for my garden.

Shannon: I’m heading out to Annapolis for a wedding on Saturday, and while I’m out in that area I’d like to explore the Eastern Shore a bit.  Unfortunately that means I’ll be out of town for Bike DC on Sunday, so I’ll be missing out on 20 miles of car-free streets and fun finish line festivities out in Crystal City afterwards.  But you can still register and use our team rate discount for $5 off!
