Move over, Paul the octopus. There are new victor predictors in the ‘hood. NBC Washington is reporting that there will be a Paw Poll on Thursday, designed to allow canines the opportunity to cast their vote for DC’s next mayor. Two different dog treats will be distributed: green with white polka dots for Fenty, and white with green polka dots for Gray. The treat picked by your dog represents their political inclinations, and has nothing, nothing to do with whether one smells more like butt than the other.

In addition to its message of voting rights for all, the event will promote Washington Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals, which will take place on Sep. 25.  Voting will occur tomorrow from 7 a.m. through 10 a.m. at the 17th Street dog park. Results will be posted on the Walk for the Animals website on Friday.
