What The Tweet DC: Political Conference Edition

Did everybody have a good long weekend? I know that some didn’t get Monday off but now DC should be at full strength as we take a look at what DC is tweeting about today.

FedTalks Strolls Into Town

Combine politics and technology and what do you get? The FedTalks conference that has everybody in town over at the Sidney Harman Hall tweeting with the #fedtalks hashtag. References to Craig Newman‘s remarks this morning filled up the local timelines and local Arlington comedian Remy will be entertaining the crowds there as well.

Interesting choice of venue for FedTalks- could they not get the Convention Center? Perhaps the Shakespeare Company was looking for some extra revenue- regardless I’m sure it’s a pretty setting for a conference.

DC Metro Cop Crashes Into Transformers 3 Set

We already reported the story yesterday but everybody is still sharing the story and video of a DC Police bomb technician who drove through the closed set and crashed into Bumblebee while responding to a call.

Let’s hope that this is the only crash the film experiences the rest of the way- I didn’t think too highly of Transformers 2.

One Cox Retires While The Other Splits

The surname Cox is trending with the news of Bobby Cox’s final game as a manager last night and the split between Courtney Cox and David Arquette.

Bobby Cox was a great baseball manager and I’m sure baseball fans will miss seeing him when the Braves come into town. I could care less about Courtney and David splitting up.

Meme Of The Day

I’m not sure if @JonasssBrothers is inferring that the Jonas Brothers will never play a gig in Europe or if their tour dates are going to be a tad slow in being released.
