Dave: Sure, the weather may not make it believable, but I for one couldn’t be more excited about spending most of my weekend down around Navy Yard and Nationals Park for Opening Weekend of the MLB season. I’ll be taking in at least two games of the Nats-Braves series at the stadium, and then I’ll sprinkle the rest of weekend with lots of out-of-town baseball and the Final Four at a place like Molly Malone’s or somewhere else up on the Hill. I’ll try to work in an Arlington brunch on Sunday, too, maybe at Woodgrill?

Addison: Ok, so maybe the weekend isn’t going to be quite as sunny as the baseball scene above, but for me, and along with many others, there is something magical about opening day. I plan on taking in at least one Nationals game this weekend, along with the Capitals-Sabres game on Saturday (which looks to have important playoff implications). Other than that, I don’t really have any set plans except for drinking at my favorite local bar: Rustico. Any suggestions for me, DC?

Rebecca J.: Friday I’ll be hitting up Cafe Asia in Rosslyn’s happy hour scene. Love me some sushi and sake after a long week’s work. Saturday morning I’ve got a footie match, followed by a trip to Hitched in Georgetown to try on some bridesmaid dresses for my friend’s wedding. The dress tryouts will conclude with cocktails at Cafe Puro. Saturday evening, I’ll be donning my best 90s gear and attending the 9:30 club’s “No Scrubs: 90s Dance Party.” Sunday, doing laundry has been a long time coming. Le sigh.

Jenn: This weekend brings me some much-needed crazytown partying. Friday night I’ll be at Black Cat for The Pains of Being Pure at Heart concert and then a trip to the W Happenings/Brightest Young Things afterparty at POV. Saturday is the ARTINI cocktail contest and gala at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, where I’ll be one of the judges for the Critic’s Choice panel. Cocktails inspired by art, the perfect combination of my two great loves. I found a fantastic vintage dress to wear by chance at Meeps, just have to find some time to alter it Saturday morning (hopefully I won’t leave any pins in place!). And I promise a wrap-up drinks feature on the event for you next Thursday. By Sunday I will be in dire need of restoration brunch, perhaps at Pilar, perhaps at the Passenger where they will be hosting a benefit for Japan. Wherever I end up, I will need a Corpse Reviver. Or two.

Rachel: I’ve got a gig at the Capital City Showcase in Adams Morgan Saturday night. Show starts at 10 p.m., so I’ll pretty much be amping up for that Friday and practicing on Saturday. Hopefully a few of you can make it out, it should be a fun night of live stand-up comedy and music. I’m going to do my best to make it to a Nats game this weekend while my fellow WLDC Nats beat writers cover this first series against the Braves. While Friday looks like it will be the day I’ll make my way to the Navy Yard, it’s far more likely that Sunday’s day game is when I’ll be in attendance.

Fedward: since the Social Chair and I are trying to plan an affordable wedding (although we’re also trying to win a big budget one) the early part of our weekend will be filled checking out venues, catering, and, uh, beverage options. In between all that madness, on Saturday we’re planning lunch at Kushi. On Sunday we might run into Jenn at the Passenger’s brunch before the Social Chair judges Monologue Madness.

Patrick: I’m experiencing post electronic dance festival dance disorder and am easing my way back into the day to day grind. Therefore, I decided to take just one day at the DC’s Forward Festival this Sunday to get one final dose of bass over at the Yards Park near the Waterfront. The festival has been going on all this week and Sunday is their final party. For those of you that are not familiar with dance festival disorder I thought I would let you know that you know you have it when you hear a repetitive bass line in your head when you are sitting in your office chair without an MP3 player. Your body convulses so much that you look like you are being electrocuted.
