Fedward: The social chair returns tonight from a week at the beach (they left DC Sunday night after the storm had passed), and goes straight into the Page to Stage Festival at the Kennedy Center. I’ll use my spare time on Saturday to drop off a couple more decommissioned computers at the District’s monthly Household Hazardous Waste collection (if you can’t go Saturday, there’s also a special preview day today). Saturday night we’re planning a visit to our friends at Eventide Restaurant for some cocktails, dinner, and pretzels (seriously, have you had those pretzels?). Sunday night you’ll be able to find us at the hangover brunch at the Passenger. As usual.

Tom: This has been a really long week. Geologic time, long. While today I’ll be helping Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School finish the move into their new home, there’s a good chance I might spend part of the weekend there getting their network in order. The farm is doing Pancakes and Potatoes this weekend, which means fresh taters are mine for the taking! If you’ve never had fresh potatoes (most store potatoes were picked up to 11 months ago!) then hie thee hence and get some, it’s a whole new food experience. Sunday night, we’ll be hosting a Low Country Boil for some friends, who thought it might be fun. Monday being a holiday, I’ll likely be down at Nationals Park for the start of their Fan Appreciation Month ahead of Strasmas on Tuesday.

Addison: I’m a little sad about this weekend because it means that I will have to put away the seersucker and madras and return to much less fun fall/winter clothes. However, Labor Day also means one more weekend at Lake Anna with some of my best friends. Located about an hour south of DC, just off I-95, Lake Anna is a man-made lake that serves as the cooling pond for the Lake Anna Nuclear Power Plant, so the water should be nice and warm. My plan for the weekend involves lounging on the dock, starting to work my way through the pile of books I’ve been collecting, and drinking copious amounts of John Dalys and Caribou Lou. While this weekend looks to be pretty relaxing, I might find time for a trip to Lake Anna State Park for some hiking or to the Lake Anna Winery for a quick tasting (I really like their Seyval Blanc).

Rachel: I’ll be honest — I’ll be at Nationals Park most of this weekend. With the exception of some probable drinking somewhere in the Cleveland Park area on Friday (perhaps at Atomic Billiards), the high schooler inside of me is ecstatic about the free Lifehouse concert at the Nats Park following Saturday night’s game versus the Mets. If they play “Hanging By A Moment” then I’ll be able to cross hearing that song performed live off of my younger self’s bucket list. Sunday, the Nationals are also hosting a Wounded Warrior’s Celebrity Softball Game which benefits military members who were wounded while serving our country. The Wounded Warriors will be playing following the 1:35 p.m. Nats-Mets day game. Just an FYI, though — fans wishing to attend the Wounded Warrior game must have a valid ticket.

Katie: Oh, long weekend, how lovely you are. I’m going to do all the relaxing things! First, I’m going to check out Yoga District’s new space on H street and get my om on. I’ll probably get all my girlie mani/pedi needs met from Bliss in the W Hotel (I still haven’t found a spa I like as much as Bliss!). I’m also going to do some grilling. Whole Foods is having a Friday one-day sale on grass-fed beef, and you have just got to be there. I’m also going to sleep. A lot.

Paulo: I haven’t been to the National Portrait Gallery for a while, so this might be a good time to drop by and check the Capital Portraits exhibition before it closes up after the weekend. These are famous portraits from the 18th Century to the present from private collections, up for a short for the general public to see. There’s a Kehinde Wiley in there.

Marissa: The thought of a three day weekend is making me tremble with excitement. Friday night I’m headed to the 9:30 Club to see Umphrey’s McGee with a few friends. Saturday I’ll try to sneak more culture into my diet and check out the free Page to Stage Festival at the Kennedy Center. Sunday is a toss-up between tubing in West Virginia or taking a day trip to the beach. So you guys tell me what local beach you’d pick or if there are other tubing options out there. Either way, I’ll be packing a delicious picnic and getting one last tan for the summer.
