R.Nichols Debuts Charming DC Holiday Cards

These days, stationery designer Nick Hanzlik of R. Nichols is based out of Los Angeles where he is known for cultivating a celebrity clientele for his charming paper-cut designs. His roots, however, are in DC – like the sixth grade teacher at Sidwell Friends to whom he credits getting his start. For this holiday season, he is coming back to Washington with a special limited-edition range of city-themed cards.

“Having grown up in Washington, there are specific images that have stuck with me through the years, like cozy Georgetown and the majestic Key Bridge. I’ve tried to capture these images and pay homage to this beautiful city in my Washington DC collection of cards and prints” said Hanzlik, regarding his inspiration for this collection.

To kick off the holiday season, Hanzlik will be debuting the cards at Neiman Marcus Mazza Gallerie at their “We’re Full of Surprises” event on Wednesday, November 16, from 6 to 8pm. In addition to checking out the cards and prints from R. Nichols and meeting the artist behind them, guests at the event will have many other opportunities for holiday cheer – a curated gift idea area, complimentary engraving on perfume bottles and other gift items, a custom top-it-yourself hot chocolate station, and a performance of holiday songs by the Washington Girls Chorus. In addition, all RSVP’d guests to this free event will get a $50 gift card valid in select departments of the store. To RSVP call 202-966-9700 or via email at rsvpwashington@neimanmarcus.com.

After the event, the cards will also be available on the R.Nichols website or at Ginger in Bethesda.
