Week in Review: 6/30 – 7/6

Monday is the cruelest of days. And the Monday after the Fourth of July Weekend may be the cruelest of them all. But at least we have these great photos to remind us how much fun we had. We’ll kick it off with this wonderful shot of bombs bursting in air by our very own fireworks guru Brian Mosley. As you may know, Brian has stepped down as photo editor and regular contributor to We Love DC but lucky for us, we still get to see his photography in our flickr pool.

With Brian’s and Kerrin’s recent departures, we’re changing when our photo reviews are published. We’re moving the Week in Review from Fridays to Mondays and combining it with the Weekend Flashback. The Featured Photo, which usually runs on Wednesdays, will now appear on Friday [Note: I’ll be on vacation July 14 – 25, so no promises that photos will get posted while I’m gone].

Joe is a recovering journalist who fled the Florida suburbs to work as a media strategist for a DC-based NGO. His goal in life, besides ridding society of the Oxford comma, is to take a year-long photo trek around the world. In the meantime, you can find him wandering the streets of the nation’s capital taking pictures of unsuspecting strangers. He also blogs about photography on the Huffington Post.
