Most obscure plate of the month

It’s been a while since I indulged my license plate obsession here. Normally the ones that are difficult to figure out are odd abbreviations or number and letter combos, but his one is just flat out obscure. As a fellow Joss Whedon fan I recognized it, and it made me laugh. Had I not been in the car I might even have done the dance of joy.

Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.

Hmm, guess I just did.

My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.

  1. My wife and I had NUMFAR as one of our six choices when we got our plates in Missouri. Sadly, we didn’t get it. Maybe when we get the second car.

  2. A car at my office has a license plate that reads, “THAC0” and has a 20 sided die in the mirror.

I was amused when I saw it and ashamed that I understood.

  3. I must confess Tom, despite doing some role-playing in jr high, I had to Google it. It just doesn’t have the fun of “rocks fall, everyone dies.”
