Our friends at Washingtonian inform us that Iceland is having to sell its ambassador’s residence in Kalorama Heights (not to be confused with the embassy itself, which is at 15th and M) due to the global recession that collapsed Iceland’s financial industry.  You can snap up the 10 bedroom, 5 bath Tudor (with staff quarters!) for just a hair over $5.5 million. A bargain, no doubt.
