- 500 plastic bags (yay, new bag fee!)
- 3,000 cigarette butts
- Top 3 brands of trash: Bud/Busch, Deer Park, and Durex
- Interesting items: Plastic sword, old-school cell phone, umbrella, suitcase, hair extension
See more pictures from the event on Flickr. Special thanks to Trail Voice for the photos and the great job with planning! Come join us next time!
Hey volunteers, thanks for doing such great work! If you are interested in doing more volunteer service check out Tysons Corner Kiwanis. This weekend we are participating in the Canal Pride Day Cleanup. On Saturday, projects at Great Falls include: * Raking and mulching * Painting the mule pen * Pulling invasive species * Painting historic structures * Clearing vegetation * Spring cleaning the Tavern
We are a young Kiwanis club in Northern Virginia. Our members range from our early 20’s to our early 40’s. We do projects like park/river clean-ups, soup kitchens, working with animal shelters and youth mentoring activities. You can learn more at tysonscornerkiwanis.org.
I’ll be there too and I’m currently promoting the event on Trail Voice here:
So I’ll see you there!
