No, this is NOT about a sale at Ben’s.
Propane Taxi, a service that I have in the past used and recommended, is running a pretty plum deal right now: a $10 tank exchange. Best I’ve ever seen at a hardware store or gas station is $18, and this beats that by $8 and you don’ t have to leave the house.
I presume this is a loss-leader they’re running to try to convince more folks to give them a try, and even aside from the deal I think you should. With gas prices what they are I think you can make a compelling case that the $3 more than Home Depot is close to a wash even before you figure the value of your time. At $10.60? Well worth it.

One thing to check is the volume of propane you get. The tanks all look the same, so we assume they are all filled the same. _Many_ vendors sell less-than-full tanks.
You can determine this by weight. The standard gas grill size weighs about 20lbs empty, and they hold 20 lbs of propane, for a total weight of about 40lbs.
$10 for a full tank seems very low, especially considering it is delivered. If it seems too good to be true…
That’s a good tip. When I lived in Miami I preferred to keep my own tank and get it refilled but I have found damned few places that refill.
The Propane Taxi website explicitly says “net LP wt – 17lb” at the bottom.
