According to WTOP & DC Examiner, Chief Lanier has relieved 2nd District Commander Mark Carter from his command position and has promoted Matt Klein to his position. Inspector Klein, demoted this year from Internal Affairs, used to serve as the commander of the Emergency Response Team that Chief Lanier managed.
