14th Most Unwired

Sitting over at Cake Love’s Love Cafe this afternoon, I came across the annual rankings for “Top 100 Unwired Cities“, which puts DC in the number 14 slot, behind our friends in Chicago, Boston, Orange County, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Of course, for Top Unwired Universities, American ranks #9 and Howard ranks #24. Georgetown, GW and UDC had better get working if they want to get on that list. Unwire!

For airports, we’re 5th for BWI, 14th for Dulles and 19th for Reagan, which I find terribly odd, seeing as there is no terminal-wide wireless for either Reagan or Dulles. Such is the state of wireless in our nation’s airports. Clearly, some things need improvement.

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.
