You, dear reader, are keyed in to all the social networks, on your bliggety-blogs, and your faceyspaces, and your tweetie pages, and that’s why you probably know at least one candidate for higher office with their own Twitter or Facebook page. Or do you? Perhaps that account you’re following is just a knockoff candidate. The Maryland Board of Elections is here to help save you. They want to require that candidates engaging in social media certify their social media accounts by including the Authority Line.

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.

  1. Really isnt a shock

Most bosses I know look on peoples facebook profile or myspace page to see if anything is on there that they can see which gives them a glipse of the person out-of-the-office

It is just the way it is these days
