It’s going to rain tomorrow. But, fitting in with our year of wacky weather, we’re talking about a multi-inch event capable of flooding homes, and not just your typical rainy day. DC DPW will be allowing residents to pick up 4 sandbags, starting at noon today, to help keep water out of problem areas near your home. These are 40-50lb sandbags, so come prepared with a vehicle that you can load them into, and an able-bodies person to load them. You can pick them up at the DPW facility over near the Navy Yard in Southeast:

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.
