Bethesda Row’s Spring Restaurant Week kicks off this Monday, April 11 and runs through Sunday, April 17. Participating restaurants include: American Tap Room, Café Deluxe, Jaleo, Lebanese Taverna, Mamma Lucia, Mon Ami Gabi, Parker’s American Bistro, Raku, and Redwood Restaurant and Bar, who will offer two course lunches for $15 and three course dinners for $30.

Standouts in these pre-fixes include American Tap Room’s Open Faced Meatloaf Sandwich, Raku’s Green Tea Crème Brulée, Redwood’s Crispy Salt Cod Croquette and Jaleo’s Ensalada Verde con Queso Idiazábal (mixed greens with Idiazábal cheese, spanish anchovies and garlic anchovy dressing). Diners can preview the restaurant week menus before making reservations at the Bethesda Row website.

In addition to these fabulous meals offered at low prices, Bethesda Row is hosting an online contest to win a $250 dinner certificate to Redwood restaurant.

Bethesda Row is throwing three days of “fashion, food and fabulosity” starting Thursday, May 20 – just in time for this dreary rain to lift and our desire for pretty summer frocks to rise! Participating stores include Bluemercury, Urban Chic, Sassanova, Lou Lou, Ginger Boutique…

It all kicks off Thursday morning at 11am with beauty consultations, designer denim-fittings, jewelry trunk shows and wine tastings (um, I feel a “mental health day” coming on…). That evening sees the launch party of Jill Kargman’s new book Arm Candy at Ginger Boutique, featuring sweets from Georgetown Cupcake and cocktails, natch.

Friday is chock-full of more fashionable frivolities like designer appearances and trunk shows. But the big event is sure to be Friday evening, featuring a fashion show with Project Runway alum Laura Bennett (she of the perfectly impeccable style and impossibly red hair), also reading from her new book and signing copies afterwards.

If you can’t take any fashionista mental health days, Saturday is also full of special store events all day (I recommend stopping into Cork & Fork for a wine tasting, the family really knows their wine and are adorable too).  Check out full details and rsvp requirements, and have fun!

It is physically hurting me that I will be missing seeing Christian Siriano in Bethesda on Friday, I almost cried when I had to turn down my invitation to his fashion show at Redwood.

The Project Runway star is coming to town as part of The Front Row, a three-day, five-block fashion event including runway previews, in-store style and beauty events, designer appearances, trunk shows and more at the fabulously fashionable retailers and restaurants at Bethesda Row.

But even if I won’t be there, you can go and make me jealous. For a full list of events happening this weekend at The Front Row, click on through to the event listing (PDF).
