I am dog-sitting for a friend over by Washington Hospital Center and I’m amazed at the number of MedStar flights. Every hour at least, there is a medevac flight coming or going from WHC. Yes, its a primary trauma center for DC, but I never expected so many trauma patients are flown in. Ambulances would be the assumed transport of choice. As I write this, another flight is coming in. Good luck to them – the patients and the pilots.
