Metro’s iconic map, probably my second favorite transit map in the world, is the result of designer Massimo Vignelli, who will speak at Metro’s HQ this weekend on the map, as well as on the work he did with the chief architect of the Metro stations, Harry Weese. The event is at the Metro HQ, and runs from 3:30 to 5 on Saturday afternoon.

I live and work in the District of Columbia. I write at We Love DC, a blog I helped start, I work at Technolutionary, a company I helped start, and I’m happy doing both. I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, and gardening. I grow a mean pepper, keep a clean scorebook, and wash the dishes when I’m done. Read Why I Love DC.

  1. My only comment is that he really screwed up from Woodley Park to Dupont which looks close but is painfully long (well, not LONG but long compared to other sections)
