Owen Wilson A Nats Pitcher In DC RomCom With Rudd & Witherspoon

Hey remember last year when that romantic comedy was filming around Adams Morgan and everybody was trying to get a look at Paul Rudd & Reese Witherspoon?
Well that film, How Do You Know, is slated to be released the day after my birthday (December 17th, 2010) and the first trailer has been released.
The film stars Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, and Jack Nicholson. According to IMDB the film is described as, “a romantic comedy centered on the love triangle between professional softball player Lisa Jorgenson (Witherspoon), a corporate executive (Rudd), and a major-league pitcher (Wilson.)”
The trailer also reveals that Rudd is a the target of a federal investigation and Wilson is a pitcher for the Washington Nationals. The film is written and directed by James L. Brooks who is a writer for The Simpsons and has also written and/or directed Spanglish, As Good As It Gets, Broadcast News, and Terms of Endearment.
The trailer shows Rudd’s run-in with a car that was witnessed by many locals as well as your typical shots of Georgetown, K Street, and places that stood in for DC.
Is this a film you’d go out and see this holiday season?

Gah, on one hand, I have a rather a soft spot for Wilson, but a completely irrational, seething aversion to Witherspoon. What to do, what to do…

Good to see Herc landed on his feet after being bounced out of the Baltimore PD.

Ugh…just watching the trailer was uncomfortable. This is gonna be a bomb — sorry for the crappy birthday present.

Not sure if I’d see in in theaters, but would definitely Netflix it. I do love that it’s set in DC though.
