AU wants some love! Vote for Friendship Heights!

  2. erin Says:

I object to the inclusion of “South West Gov Center.” Federal Center gets receives food truck love fairly often, and L’Enfant, just a few blocks away, is second in food truck love to Farragut/Franklin Squares. How about venturing over to SE?

  3. Sara Says:

How about Cap South? We have a lot of hungry folks, and very few food trucks.

  4. DCGirl Says:

Van Ness!!! Nobody EVER comes up here despite the fact that people actually do work up here and there are hardly any restaurants.

  5. Julia Says:

Ditto on Van Ness! We are hungry here too!

  6. Ashley Says:

This is hopefully just the first of many contests like this, so thanks for the suggestions on future locations!

  7. Joan Arkham Says:

Penn Quarter! There are great restaurants here but nothing too exciting for quick/cheap lunch.

  8. Carl Says:

Navy Yard/DoT needs more food trucks too.

  9. ALH Says:

UMMMMMM. No love for Silver Spring? That hurts.

  10. andy Says:

Metro Center! We only get trucks on Friday – but then we get them all – need to spread the love out during the week

  11. DCGirl Says:

Umm didn’t metro center have the lobster truck on Monday? Plus you guys get curbside cupcakes regularly. NOBODY comes up to Van Ness. I’ve never seen a food truck in the entire time I’ve lived in dc.

  12. MK Says:

    H STREET H STREET H STREET
NY Avenue is a deliciously acceptable substitute. As is Mt Vernon, or Eastern Market!

  13. K Says:

Definitely Capitol South. Any truck that comes to the Hill on a Friday or a day during recess would make a fortune. So many hungry staffers!

  14. CapitolBites Says:

Bethesda. Please and thank you! I’m getting bored with my lunch options at work and I’m insanely jealous of everyone downtown that gets to try all the amazing food trucks.

  15. Tiffany Bridge Says:

The thing about non-DC locations is that the truck has to have the appropriate vendor licensing from an additional jurisdiction.

And let me just throw my vote in for as-close-as-possible-to-the-State-Department. We’re starting to get trucks within 5 blocks, but not very often.

  16. GABY Says:

    BETHESDA please

  17. chris Says:

    Georgetown!!!!

  18. Kristin Says:

Friendship Heights or near Chevy Chase circle!

  19. Ashley Says:

Unfortunately Georgetown has some pretty strict rules in place regarding food stalls, so though the trucks would love to make an appearance over there, the man is keepin’ ‘em down.

  20. Andrew Says:

    NY AVE METRO!!!!!!
1200 First St. NE to be specific
