When the House passed the economic package late last night, it included an extension of the Bush-era tax cuts, but it also included a $5,000 tax credit for those buying a house in D, and a $3,000 per employee wage credit for each DC resident hired by DC businesses. Β These are retroactive through all of 2010 and extend through all of 2011. Β In addition, there are some capital gains-free transactions for some DC businesses, so you’ll probably want to talk with your accountant about that.
