Get your crime on

While it may not have the kind of comedy of mid-crime Facebook status updates, the National Museum of Crime&Punishment does have some neat exhibits like the America’s Most Wanted studio and all kinds of crime-fighting stuff, like the CSI kind of exhibit pictured above. And it’s got a half-off deal going if you’d like to skip out of work and head over – just say “lock up” and it’s $10 for adults rather than $20.

Or take advantage of the “6 after 6” deal for locals if you want to go in the evening. Flash your driver’s license showing  you live in DC, MD or VA and it’s $6 if you come in between 6 and 7. (They’re open till 8 but the website says no tix after 7…)

Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.

Hmm, guess I just did.

My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.

  1. Don,
It’s quite a cool museum. Very educational and interesting.

They also have some good marketing for special events and discounts.

My wife and I visited on Valentine’s Day when they had a “Lover’s special” where you walked through the museum handcuffed to each other.
