My blood is too thick for this humidity: my mind boils, I rant and rave, and I’m unable to properly explain myself. And I channel Hunter S. Thompson. I moved to DC before I knew what the summers were like; heatwave or not, I boil like a potato in this climate. But everyone who loves hanging idly around a swamp going to fairs and farmers markets, let’s reminisce. Welcome to yesterday, DC. And the day before. And Friday, when the Redskins started back up and squashed the Steelers in their first preseason game. Busy weekend around town – let’s do this thing!

Happy Monday, DC. This weekend was mostly grey, and a little soggy. Had I not had guests in town, I would have been happy to snuggle up with our cat and watch a Sex and the City marathon.  It was just one of those.  But happy for us,  you all resisted the lethargy and still got out there with your cameras, bless your hearts! From the wedding that closed down the streets, early Cinco de Mayo celebrations, to the Embassy open houses, our flickrattzi captured the weekend in a fantastic fashion. Continue reading

Kite Festival In Pictures

It may have been a gray and drizzly Saturday, but that didn’t stop Inspiration DC‘s Rebecca and I from heading out to take pictures of the Smithsonian Kite Festival on the Mall.
